PATPONG - BANGKOK'S RED LIGHT DISTRICT

Another popular street in Bangkok aside from the Khao San Road is the city's famous red light district, Patpong Street.
As the sun sets, the street turn up as a market full of young women in their most sexy dresses.
Patpong is definitely not for men only. There are also stalls selling trinkets and massage parlor along the street.

For those who have seen the movie  The Deer Hunter (1978), starring Robert De Niro , some scenes were shoot here and he final part of the  musical Miss Saigon (1989) is set in the bar scene of Patpong.
There are a lot of stories of men being ripped off at this street like paying double or triple or more  of what they ordered.I even saw some foreign men being pulled by these women. I just don't really know if this kind of business is legal or not but I saw a couple of policemen just around the street.

. Patpong is within walking distance from the BTS Skytrain Silom Line's Sala Daeng Station, and MRT Bangkok Metro Blue Line's Si Lom Station
